Delegation from Mexico and Central American Countries Visits XMCH

On December 6, at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, a delegation of 20 political party officials from Mexico and Central American countries, participating in the Fourth China-Latin America Political Parties Forum, visited Xiamen. During their stay, the delegation made a special visit to Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital Xiamen University (referred to as "XMCH"), to tour its medical facilities, patient services, diagnostic technologies, and international development initiatives, gaining insights into the progress and achievements of Xiamen’s healthcare sector.
The delegation comprised members from Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. Bai Pengfei, Party Secretary of XMCH, guided the guests through various areas, including the outpatient department, medical technology testing zones, and the interventional therapy center. Secretary Bai elaborated on the hospital's design concept, functional layout, medical technologies, innovation in science and technology, and future development plans. At the Phase II project model, she provided an in-depth introduction to the hospital’s international development efforts and the plans for its International Medical Center. In the interventional therapy center, Secretary Bai presented the Heart Sapling Visiting Scholar Program and extended an invitation for outstanding cardiovascular specialists from these countries to come to Xiamen for training.
The delegation praised the hospital’s world-class facilities, advanced medical technologies, and commitment to internationalization. After watching the promotional video for the Heart Sapling Program, the delegates spontaneously applauded, commending XMCH for implementing the Global Development Initiative and advancing international medical collaboration. They expressed enthusiasm for sending cardiovascular specialists from their countries to participate in the program, thereby expanding opportunities for healthcare cooperation between China and Latin American countries.
