Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital and Brazilian Hospital Hold Online Exchange to Promote BRICS Visiting Scholar Program

The Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital Xiamen University (XMCH) and Hospital de Messejana Dr. Carlos Alberto Studart Gomes (HM) held their first video conference on clinical and research cooperation.

Presidents Wang Yan and Carlos of XMCH and HM respectively introduced their hospitals. Wang praised the medical capabilities of HM for completing more than 500 heart transplant surgeries since its establishment and invited Brazilian experts to join the BRICS Cardiovascular Health Innovation Center’s Visiting Scholars Program.

President Carlos expressed his deep impression of XMCH's clinical and research achievements and looked forward to further expanding academic exchanges and cooperation with Chinese hospitals and medical equipment companies in the future.

Both hospitals discussed cooperation projects and reached a consensus to deepen mutual understanding, promote personnel exchanges, and project cooperation.

Hospital de Messejana Dr. Carlos Alberto Studart Gomes (HM) was founded in 1933 and located in the capital of the state of Ceará, Fortaleza, Brazil.
