Delegation from the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan Visits Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital

Recently, a delegation from the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan visited Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital Xiamen University (Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital) for exchanges and discussions. The delegation was led by Maliksho Nematzoda, First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan. President Wang Yan and Vice President Xu Liangyou accompanied the visit.

The delegation toured several key areas of the hospital, including the outpatient lobby, the Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment Center, and the air rescue helipad, gaining an overview of the hospital’s overall planning and layout, specialty development, and operational management.
At the Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment Center, the two sides exchanged views on the development of cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment systems, advances in medical technology, and international cooperation. President Wang Yan introduced the hospital’s achievements in specialty development and international exchange and cooperation, and shared information about the Heart Sapling Visiting Scholar Program (Heart Sapling Program), an international training initiative for cardiovascular specialists.

First Deputy Chairman Nematzoda highly commended the achievements of Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital in the field of cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment. He expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in medical services, talent cultivation, and academic exchange. He also noted his expectation that, in the future, trainees from Tajikistan could participate in the Heart Sapling Program, thereby deepening cooperation and talent development in the cardiovascular field.

During the visit, First Deputy Chairman Nematzoda presented President Wang Yan with a traditional ethnic hat as a token of appreciation and friendship.

This visit enhanced mutual understanding between the two sides and laid a solid foundation for further exchanges and cooperation. Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital will continue to uphold its philosophy of openness and collaboration, actively participate in global cardiovascular health governance, and contribute to building a global community of health for all.
